TONS OF UPDATES...
Yes we are still alive and breathing. We have been very busy here in our notch hole of the Bible belt we call Cincinnati.
NEW SONGS
Two new demos versions of songs have been posted here on our Myspace page. "Killer of Kenton County" and "Mrs. Templeton" are two new barnburners we hope you will enjoy. We are in fact in the process of finishing up a new record. More details on that later. Keep checking back for new jams, as we will be adding them in the coming months.
NEW MEMBER
Welcome aboard! We have a new addition to the Turnbull gang. Brian Penick (Death in Graceland, Lightweight Holiday, and many more) is now rounding out the rhythm section on drums. Be sure to say hey and have a drink with him at some of the upcoming shows.
NEW SHOWS
We will be playing a great show on November 17th at the historic Southgate House in Newport, Kentucky with our friends the Sheds, as well as Gentleman Caller and the Impossible Shapes, both hailing from Bloomington, Indiana. We are also very excited to announce two dates with our good friends Margot & the Nuclear So and So's. Friday December 7th we will be playing at the Dame in Lexington, Kentucky, and Saturday December 8th we will be playing at the Mad Hatter in Covington, Kentucky. Do not miss these shows!
With the coming months you will see us out and about all over the area. We just bought a new van, and plan on putting some extensive miles on her. Keep checking back, as many new dates will be added for the coming year.

Hello all, sory for the long silence. We've been spending the past couple of months working on new material for our new upcoming album. But we have a special show coming up we wanted to let you know about.
Next Saturday, February 24th, we'll be playing a benefit show at The Southgate House for Rivers Unlimited, an Ohio statewide group dedicated to the protection and restoration of our rivers. We'll be playing with The Hiders and the Comet Bluegrass Allstars. Please come and show your support for this worthwhile cause and these great bands.
On an unfortunate note, we apologize for not making it to the Millenium Music Conference in Harrisburg this evening due to weather conditions. We definitely hope to make it next year.

Thanks to everyone who made it to the acoustic show at Clique in Covington, KY last night. Way too much fun for a school night! We'll be scheduling more shows there soon, along with some other familiar acts from Greater Cincinnati.
News for December includes the announcement of a live video shoot we'll be taping at Dirty Jack's in our hometown of Cincinnati. Please come check it out on Wednesday, December 20th. The brilliant minds at Mind Ignition will be helping us out.
Coming up in the next month, a few friends of ours are throwing album release parties. And we'll be playing with them to help celebrate!
On January 6, come see us at The Northside Tavern for the Lions Rampant CD Release Party. Side project of Cameron Cochrane, of The Sheds, these guys really throw down.

Sorry it's been so long since the last update! We've had a great couple of weeks. We had an amazing time at the Midwest Music Summit in Indianapolis last weekend, where we caught some of our friends' bands and made some new friends, as well. Thanks to Machine Records for inviting us to play the Alley Cat party.
As of last week, our debut album is now available at iTunes.

July 28th's show at alchemize has been moved, because of the club closing sooner than expected. The Poison Room on 5th Street downtown has helped us out by letting us move the show there, and it will be 18 and up. Rayburn and Captain of Industry are still on the bill. See you on Friday!
And don't forget our show Tuesday night at the Mad Hatter with The Starlight Mints (Barsuk Records). Tickets are $12.00, but will definitely be worth the money.

Thanks to everyone for all the support at our shows in Cincinnati. The Desdemona Festival was a complete success, and we were thrilled to be a part of it. It's great to see our hometown developing into a midwest landmark for independent music.
A few notes on upcoming events: On July 14, Turnbulls will be playing at Rumble Records in Mainstrasse, KY. This new store is a fine addition to the NKY area. Main Street, Covington is a great part of town, and Rumble Records is a great step towards making it a more inviting place for artists and musicians.
Tuesday, July 25, we will return to The Mad Hatter in Covington for a show with The Starlight Mints (Barsuk Records). Listen to them here!
Friday, July 28th we have an incredible lineup set for alchemize's closing weekend in downtown Cincinnati. See us with Captain of Industry from Dayton, and Rayburn from Columbus.

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend so amazing. Every show was a blast to play, and thank you to everyone who made it out to support us.
Also, we need to make an apology for a thank you that didn't appear in the Turnbull
AC's album liner notes. We made a very vague and broad thanks so not to leave
anyone out, but this one definitely needs to be mentioned specifically. We
couldn't have put the record out without the help of Kelly Thomas and The Red
MacCormack Recording Grant that was awarded to us last year. The $500 was a huge
help for funding the project, and I'm an idiot for forgetting to express our
gratitude for that.
Kelly has been working hard for years to keep the memory of Red MacCormack alive through music, and the support of local music. I knew him for a couple of years while he was playing drums with Medicine Hat, and he was a great guy, and an amazing musician and showman.

The debut, self-titled album is now available! Tonight is the first of three album-release shows where you can see us with some of our favorite bands in the city, and also with a great band from Indianapolis. Come see us tonight at Alchemize with Moth and 500 Miles to Memphis; Friday at the legendary Ludlow Garage with The High and Low and Staggering Statistics; and Saturday at The Southgate House with Margot and the Nuclear So and So's and The Kentucky Struts!
Anyone who makes it to all three shows will receive a demo with two songs not on the album, "Brooklyn Baby" and "The Ballad of Adam & Eve."
